Workshop on Achieving Inventory Excellence: Strategies for Control & Optimization through Innovation. The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), Sri Lanka’s National Professional Institute for Supply Chain Management Education, successfully conducted a comprehensive workshop on "Achieving Inventory Excellence: Strategies for Control & Optimization through Innovation" on 29th July 2025.
The event brought together a dynamic audience of professionals from Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, and finance sectors. This full-day session (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) equipped participants with actionable strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Chamara Madushan, Council Member and Faculty Member of ISMM, whose expertise and practical insights greatly enriched the learning experience. The event was further graced by the presence of Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, President – ISMM, and Mr. Priyanga Kirihena, General Secretary – ISMM. This interactive session provided an invaluable platform for industry professionals to broaden their understanding of modern inventory management practices and foster collaboration for operational excellence.
