The Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), the National Professional Institute for Supply Chain Education in Sri Lanka, successfully conducted its Virtual Open Day for G.C.E. A/L students and Supply Chain enthusiasts on 8th May 2025 via the Zoom platform.
The event attracted over 100 participants, including students and their parents, who were keen to explore opportunities in the field of Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
During the session, ISMM provided valuable insights into: The fundamentals of Supply Chain and Logistics, Emerging global trends in the industry, Career pathways and job opportunities, The role of ISMM as a recognized professional institute, Education and training programs offered by ISMM
Professional growth and industry recognition.
The session was enriched by the presence of several distinguished speakers, including: Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, President of ISMM, Prof. Dr. Sanath Divakara, Vice President and Chairman – PD & TC, Mr. Priyanga Kirihena, General Secretary of ISMM, Mr. Chamira Harshalal, Chairman of the Research and Development Committee & Industry Expert.
This impactful initiative was organized by the 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐌, under the leadership of Mr. Dilshan Silva (Chairman) and Mr. Chamara Silva (Manager – Marketing and Business Development), whose active contributions ensured the event’s success.
This Virtual Open Day reflected ISMM’s continued commitment to empowering the next generation of professionals and raising awareness about the importance of Supply Chain and Logistics Management as a rewarding and future-ready career path.
