ISMM celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 24th October 2022 at the Shangri-La Colombo with a full day International Seminar on the theme "Elevating the Economy through Innovative and Sustainable Supply Chain Solutions” with more than 400 Participants. The Chief Guest was Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and the Guest of honour was Ms. Marina Lindic the President of International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management-UK and the Keynote Speaker was Mr. K. M. Mahinda Siriwardana, Secretary of the General Treasury Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies.
There were 8 Guest Speakers who addressed the gathering on various timely topics related to supply chain management.
SESSION 1 - Service Sector (Banking and Logistics)
Session Chairman was Prof. (Dr). Ajantha S. Dharmasiri PhD, Professor in Management, Postgraduate, Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
First Speaker was Mrs. Shashi Kandambi Jassim, Senior DGM - International Banking, Sampath Bank PLC.
Second Speaker was Mrs. Tania Polonnowita Wettimuny, Group Managing Director, IAS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.
SESSION 2 -Manufacturing and Constructions Sector (Industrial & Construction)
Session Chairman was Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Vice Chancellor, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.

SESSION 3 - Agriculture and Environment (Traditional Exports, Value added exports)
Session Chairman was Prof. Devaka K. Weerakoon PhD, Senior Professor, Department of Zoology and Environment Science, University of Colombo.
First Speaker was Dr. W. M. W. Weerakoon PhD, Senior Agriculture Specialist, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
Second Speaker was Mr. Suranga Herath, Chief Executive Officer, The English Tea Shop (UK) Ltd/ Amazon Trading Pvt Ltd.
SESSION 4 - Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy
Session Chairman was Prof. A. A. D. A. J. Perera PhD, Head of the Department of Transport and, Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa.
First Speaker was Dr. Dilisha Perera, Co-Founder & Chairperson, La Vivente (Pvt) Ltd.
Second Speaker was Snr. Prof. H. D. Karunaratne PhD, Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo.
Mr. Sarath Gamage President of ISMM, Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa Senior Vice President and the Chairman of the 50th Anniversary Management Committee, Vice Presidents of ISMM Mr. Dimuka Hemantha and Mr. Lilantha Subasinghe, General Secretary of ISMM Mr. Ranil Abeysekera, Treasurer Mr. Dharshana Wijemanne, Council Members of ISMM and the staff of ISMM graced the occasion.
